With this page you can request the setup of a region in Metropolis or OSgrid.

Please note that all landscapes can be changed as much as you like. Swondo offers the landscape pure as an extra service at startup.

All initial landscapes can be visited inworld in OSgrid to get an impression first. Best have your viewer running in OSgrid before you click: "Visit Inworld".

Hint: Start with the cheaper 10.000 prims region unless you are already sure you need more prims. Upgrading to more prims later, is always easy.

Standard sized and VAR-Regions are priced the same.


Steps to your Metropolis or OSgrid region:

  Click the "choice" marker at the initial landscape or VAR that you like best.
  Fill in the rest of the form at the bottom.
  Hit "Send".

OSgrid sim: Swondo Flower Island Visit Inworld Choice

Incredible beautiful almost sim-size island. The initial landscape of
this not too hilly island is woods and flowers of all kinds. Do go visit
the example setup and feel nature surrounding you.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Tropical Visit Inworld Choice

Large hot tropical island with a little lake and endless beaches. At some places grass finds its way to grow but most of the island is beach sand. When you live here you have to take advantage of the shadows under one of the manny palm trees or swim a lot to stay cool.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Mountain Visit Inworld Choice

Huge mountain island filled with trees and flowers. The island has manny coridors, fresh green grass and white sandy beaches. A wooden bridge and some stairs are added to get through the rough nature. Because of the mountains, the region feels very big.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Island Visit Inworld Choice

Sandy beaches on several places combined with larger fresh grasslands and a mountain ridge, makes this island feel unique. A sort of middle mountain devides the Island in two larger areas with each their own shapes and beaches. There is also a narrow walk around the high back mountain. The land comes with high atmospheric gardens with lots of flowers.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Tropical mountain Visit Inworld Choice

Huge feeling tropical mountain island surrounded by small islands. High mountains and many corridors make this region feel very large. One can walk for hours and still discover new views and corners. A wooden bridge and some stairs are included in the landscape If you like flat land, this is not the place for you :)

OSgrid sim: Swondo Snow Mountain (no example) Choice

A secluded lake surrounded with high snowy mountains. This region has lots of hide away corners and walkways. Different slopes make this region also perfect for creating skiing areas and mountain climbing. One has to spend time on the region to realize how big it feels. The views are perfect and change at each corner.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Snow Mountain 2 Visit Inworld Choice

Same as above but instead of a lake there is a little river. This gives a large area to build on. There is room for a huge mansion (Example photos below).

OSgrid sim: Swondo Snow Mountain 3 (no example) Choice

Same as above but there is no lake or little river. This gives even more flat land to build on. It is a matter of personal taste which you like best.

OSgrid sim: Swondo Flatland Visit Inworld Choice

If you have no need for any water on your region and just want all of the region be ultra flat land, then this might be your initial landscape. A Heavy stone wall is on the edge of the region keeping a stylefull overflow from land to 'void' water. This is the only way to let your region be totally landfilled without looking ugly unreal at the edges.

OSgrid sim: Bullet Island   Choice

The standard for a region without any landscaping is usually called a Bullet Island.
Swondo took the liberty to at least make the sea bottom flat which is not standard in a bullet region. The Bullet Island is meant for people who like to landscape themselves from scratch




 
OSgrid sim: VAR-Region, Type I   Choice

A VAR-Region is an extra large region. This has ups and downs. Please only chose a VAR-Region after you have red the information here .
Currently we have only one initial landscape available. If you prefer Bullit island and water then please state this at the remarks area.
This is Type-I. 512 x 512 meter (2x2=4 standard regions large)

* Not all viewers can handle(visit) VAR-Regions.





OSgrid sim: VAR-Region, Type II Visit Inworld* Choice

A VAR-Region is an extra large region. This has ups and downs. Please only chose a VAR-Region after you have red the information here .
Currently we have only one initial landscape available. If you prefer Bullit island and water then please state this at the remarks area.
This is Type-II. 768 x 768 meter (3x3=9 standard regions large)

* Not all viewers can handle(visit) VAR-Regions.





OSgrid sim: Swondo Water   Add

Water-regions do not have their own prim- and avatar count. They can only be leased in combination with at least one 10.000 prims region and share the primcount and avatar load. Water-regions can be terraformed into land, but do not come with an initial landscape.
If you like to add multiple water regions, then please let us know in the textarea. A water-region cannot be combined with a VAR-region.

Sending in this form does not obligate you
to actually lease the sim. During the first two weeks you can use the land and decide if
you like to lease it*.

Please read the covenant before you send the form. With sending the form you agree to the Swondo covenant.


* The first two weeks of free living at no obligations is meant to get to know Swondo Estate and to decide which payment method works best for you. This free living only applies the first time you order land at Swondo Estate.

OAR or IAR backups are only handed out after a minimum of two paid lease months.

** If your avatar is less then 2 weeks old, we will contact you before setting up your region.

We will have your region up and running between 1 and 10 hours depending on the availability of a Swondo manager. You will be contacted inworld and via e-mail.

Your region will be placed on a "free all around" spot on the map. This means that your region will have no touching neighbours.

Please note that officially OSgrid is only a testgrid for the OpenSim developers.
